Micro Matrimony was founded by Lawonda and Amanda in hopes of bridging the gap in wedding planning. There are so many options for traditional, large, expensive events that just don’t work for every couple. The goal is to be a resource for those struggling to find the right fit and our founders have a unique solution.
Offering multiple packages with add-on services encourages each couple to focus on their must-haves and splurge on the important things. This structure leads to a more personalized experience for our couples and takes the stress off budgeting.
Lawonda is a military vet with many years of experience in hospitality management and photography. She married the love of her life, has built a beautiful family of her own, and is ready to guide others onto the same path. After recently talking to her daughter and fiancé about wedding planning difficulties, she began thinking outside the box..
Amanda is a wife and super-mom to four young children. Between managing her household and recently expanding her experience to the aviation industry, she has sharpened her time management and planning skills and is ready to apply them to her own passion.
The idea came to life for Micro Matrimony when Amanda was planning her own micro wedding just after the pandemic. She was able to have everything she dreamed of on a smaller, refreshingly affordable scale and wants others to have the same!
